CBAManager

The CBAM obligation, calculated, explained, ready to hand over.

CBAManager computes the CBAM (Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism) obligation for companies importing goods covered by Regulation (EU) 2023/956 — steel, aluminium, cement, fertilizers, hydrogen, electricity. From the suppliers' monitoring files to a clear client report and a consultant's control workbook.

What it offers

Up-to-date regulatory formula

N_cert = max(0, M × (SEE − SEFA − ΔCP)), with the free-allocation phase-out (CBAM_y from 0.975 in 2026 to 0 in 2034) sitting inside the SEFA. Benchmarks and default values from the latest EU regulations.

From monitoring to report

Load the monitoring files filled in by suppliers and get two outputs: a narrative, eNextGen-branded client report and a control workbook for manual validation.

Every CBAM sector

Steel, aluminium, cement, fertilizers, hydrogen and electricity: the right production route and benchmark for each CN good, with phase-in mark-ups where applicable.

Scenarios and parameters

ETS price, CBAM_y, CSCF, ΔCP: adjust the assumptions and immediately see the impact on the obligation and on the value of emissions verification.

Why it matters

An engine that follows the regulation, not a spreadsheet

CBAM enters its definitive phase: from 2026 free allocation phases out and certificates become a real cost. CBAManager keeps formula, official benchmarks and default values in a single, auditable engine — so the consultant works on the client's data, not on reconstructing the regulation.

  • Formula Reg. 2023/956 art. 22 + Reg. 2025/2620
  • Benchmarks Column A (actual data) and Column B (default)
  • SEE default values per CN × country with phase-in mark-up
  • Ready-made outputs: HTML client report + control workbook

Sample reports

Two fully anonymized demo cases: the client report produced by CBAManager and the monitoring file that generated it. Download the monitoring file, load it into the tool and reproduce the same report.

CBAManager grew out of eNextGen’s CBAM advisory work: the need to move from suppliers’ raw files to a defensible estimate of the obligation, quickly and with full traceability of the regulatory parameters used.

Over time the reference data — default values and benchmarks — will flow into nxbase, eNextGen’s ESG meta-database, to be served via API and kept aligned with regulatory updates.
