Francesco Tonini, PhD
Head of Sales & M&A Specialist

Francesco is a post-doctoral researcher at the Energy Department of the Politecnico di Milano and co-founder of eNextGen. As sales manager, he leads the business development strategy, building partnerships with companies and institutions and promoting stakeholder engagement to foster sustainable business models. This is also closely related to the focus of his academic activity, which is mainly devoted to strengthening external relations, managing key collaborations with Italian and international energy companies, NGOs and public institutions. His research fields focus on bridging the gap between scientific analysis and decision-making, supporting evidence-based policy and strategic planning. Throughout his career, Francesco has been involved in several international projects on sustainable development, working in countries such as Ethiopia, Tunisia, Kenya and Tanzania. His PhD thesis was awarded the CeTAmb Prize for appropriate technologies for sustainable development in resource-limited regions.
